Destinations I’ve explored

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of traveling the world to deliver training sessions as a Subject Matter Expert (SME). This opportunity has taken me to three diverse countries, allowing me to immerse myself in their cultures and savor their cuisines.

Wroclaw, Poland

My journey to Poland marked my inaugural venture outside the United States, an unforgettable experience. During my two-week stay, I had the opportunity to forge personal connections with individuals whom I had only communicated with remotely over the course of a year, assisting them through a significant system transition. My colleagues were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, making my time there both productive and enjoyable.

In my leisure moments, I embarked on a profoundly moving visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau. The experience was deeply spiritual, allowing me to connect on a visceral level with the historical significance of the site. As I walked through the grounds, I couldn’t help but feel the weight of the atrocities that occurred there, offering a poignant reminder of the resilience of the human spirit amidst unimaginable suffering. This encounter left an indelible impression on me, evoking a mix of profound sadness and gratitude for the opportunity to pay my respects to those who perished.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit Kuala Lumpur twice while overseeing training and assisting with system transitions. The warmth and hospitality of my colleagues left a lasting impression, making this trip one of my most cherished experiences to date. Malaysia’s vibrant blend of cultures, languages, and religions creates a mesmerizing kaleidoscope, and I was captivated by the diversity. Moreover, the delicious food and rich cultural tapestry added an extra layer of enjoyment to my time there.

Gurugram, India

One of my most recent business trips took me to the incredible country of India. I spent about a month there, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The people of India exude a remarkable sense of joy and warmth, which left a profound impression on me. It was fascinating to learn from one of my associates that India boasts over a thousand languages, yet English serves as a common means of communication among them.

The culinary journey in India was nothing short of spectacular, rivaling even my beloved Mexico. The diverse array of spices and flavors infused into every dish was simply incredible. However, it was a notable adjustment to find no beef options available, with the prevalent choice being between vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals. Nevertheless, each dining experience was a delightful exploration of Indian cuisine.

Upon returning to the United States, little did I know that the world was on the brink of a global pandemic. The beginning of the Covid pandemic caught me by surprise, completely unaware of the unprecedented challenges that lay ahead.
